Mileage correction adjustment or reset is required if the data displayed on your dashboard has been corrupted, displays incorrect values. This can happen if;

• The dashboard has developed a fault

• You have been involved in a car accident

• Or if the vehicle battery has been discharged and the vehicle was jump started.

In either of the above cases the microchip on the dashboard starts to display incorrect values. Also if a new dashboard was purchased it needs to be programmed with vehicles ECU and programmed to make it display the correct value.  

The Process

We cover nearly all vehicle manufacturers from ACURA to VW. The process varies from different car manufacturers. Some cars are corrected by simply connecting a diagnostic cable to the vehicles diagnostic port, while others need the instrument cluster removed to access the microchip. The time varies from 60 minutes to 3 hours on more complex vehicles.

The cost depends on make of car and complexity of the job, please email for up-to-date prices. The work can be carried out at home or a suitable meeting point. More complex vehicles need to come in our workshop.

Adjusting vehicle speedo is illegal only if you intend to sell without disclosing the correction carried out in the adjustment value. We comply fully with all laws regarding odometer correction adjustment or reset. It is an offence to sell a vehicle showing a lower or higher reading unless the buyer is informed of the true reading.
